In a rapidly developing society, we as producers are constantly challenged in our identity and our future. Changing economic models on the one hand, and the rapid evolution of the wood industry on the other, have stimulated us in recent years to look at tomorrow’s market with new eyes.
Rooted in a rich tradition
As a sawmill, Lefibo has been a trusted name on the pallet and package wood market since 1984.
With core values such as stability, trust, quality and partnership, we, as a family SME, have succeeded in building long-term relationships with you. These are characteristics on which we want to continue to focus unchanged.
However, new challenges await us in the future, with a wider product range, new technologies, further added-value processing and customer-oriented custom solutions.
In recent years we have worked hard with our team to anticipate this in our own way, and in the meantime our product range and services have been expanded. From now on you can also contact us for various requests for round garden wood, dried wood, heat treatments, splitting, planing, profiling and pressure impregnations.
This led to a number of new investments. In addition to the three new kiln dryers, the brand-new production line for finger-jointed wood in particular is a project with perspectives. From now on, it allows us to offer building and construction timber.
We don’t just do this with a limited offer in standard sizes, on the contrary. Here, more than ever before, we go for customer-focused customization with great flexibility in crosscut sizes, specific and long custom lengths (up to 15 m), with numerous possible finishes.
It is already clear that we are offering a very targeted answer to a growing need in the wood industry. The line is now operational and we will be communicating extensively in the coming months to market our finger-jointed wood.
The developments mentioned above call for a new corporate identity. From the beginning of 2020 we will launch our extensive range of products and services under the commercial name IDE Woods.
The strap-line of the new logo is ‘SMARTER WITH WOOD’ and says everything about our conscious approach to the use of wood: ecologically responsible, cost-saving, customer-oriented, focused on customization and unburdening.
Practically nothing has to change for you. Lefibo remains the legal company for all invoicing and administration.
Furthermore, the launch of IDE Woods will have no impact on mutual cooperation. Our vision, our direct approachability and our DNA as a family SME remain unchanged. You can also still contact the same people.
